Selling Or Buying A Business: Be Careful Who You Refer!
Be careful who you refer!
I am so pissed off right now. I referred someone I thought I knew to help a nervous buyer get over the due diligence hump. Instead he filled her head with negative thoughts unrealistic expectations for her evaluation.
I even called this guy before I sent her and let him know the good and bad about the business. I just am so incredibly disappointed in this guy. He completely turned off my client and he hasn't seen any of the paperwork.
I wasted many hours of work and I really felt that this lady who was buying the business would have been very successful at it too. I will never make this mistake again.
The next time I refer anyone I will be very specific about what they are going to say. Comments & Advice From Peter:"Deal Friendly" accountants and attorneys are hard to find - and there is always the problem of the person you refer will "kill the deal".
