1031 Exchange Options When Selling A Business

Since I last wrote my buyer went to Dealer School for one week, so there was nothing much to report. But I have been working on whether or not to use a 1031 exchange and ramifications of the purchase price breakdown.
Everybody (lawyers, accounts, escrow agents and former 1031 exchange participants) has a different version of what can be put into the exchange and what can be purchased with funds from the exchange.
So I am working towards figuring that out and closing escrow, which should be in early January. Comments & Advice From Peter:Good idea to get the advice the 1031 Exchange angle - they tend to be tricky when it comes to selling and buying a business - congrats on the close in January - it has been a long road for you and one well worth it!• Technorati • del.icio.us • Digg It • Furl • ma.gnolia • Spurl • Yahoo MyWeb
