More and more people from Latin American countries are coming to Texas to buy existing businesses. They used to come for personal safety and medical reasons. Now they have another reason to flee - their financial interests.
In the past governments have seized businesses. It's not uncommon for the rich to flee to the US to escape being kidnapped by gorilla groups. People aren't waiting to see what happens.
Laws in the US require that they invest here and employ people, which makes buying an existing business the best option.
Texas business brokers are welcoming the immigrants and helping them find businesses to buy.
Venezuela is particularly affected. U.S. Secretary of State
